Trampoline Front Flip Tutorial

Front flips are one of the most enjoyable things you can do on a trampoline and this tutorial will teach you how to do a front flip, with step by step instructions, frequent bad habits and how to fix them.
Tramp Tricks
First Step: Before you try a flip, try what we call a tuck jump. While in midair, suck your knees to your chest without losing your balance. Stop bending your legs shortly before you land. Do this over and over again until you feel comfortable.
Second Step: Try a flip and fall onto your back or your bottom. Begin by performing a somersault with no height. Then slowly get a small amount of bounce, however don’t forget that you don’t have to jump very big for this. If you’re still too afraid, try tilting your head slightly to side while you flip so that you can spot your landing.
However, don’t get too comfortable with tilting your as it sometimes leads to off axis flips. Likewise, try as best as you can to land comparatively next to to the place on the tramp where you take off
If you travel forwards a lot in your jump, then your are most likely
“early.” This means that you’re initiating your flip too early in your bounce which drives your momentum to travel out instead of up. Keep doing this until you feel comfortable with performing it in a small to medium jump.

Third Step: Now attempt a front flip! The longer you think about the front flip the less probable you are to actually do it. Simply start with a small bounce and there’s very little bad that can occur. After you have a average jump, as you begin to feel the bed of the trampoline thrusting you upwards then push your arms forward and let your chest to fall.
Once you become airborne, perform a pike from Step 1 and tuck your head down add into your chest. Do no hold this position much longer than around 1/2 of a second. Finally, let your feet come out of the tuck and pick up your head, which will straighten up your body and slow down your rotation. Because landing front flips well is exceedingly challenging, it might take you a good amount of time to master it.
A little bit of advice to landing good front flips is to go higher (not too high!) so that you have more time to spot your landing and adjust accordingly. Also, it help to use your hands to help correct your body; if you under flipped don’t quite make it around then position your hands in front of you. Likewise, if you over rotated, then position your hands upwards to the sky. Thanks for reading this tutorial and good luck
