The photo flash facet which harnesses the strength of Power LED does a good job at enabling photography in dark environments. It assists focus and supports short range shooting. The face detection attribute can track 3 faces unlike the normal focus which can track only the face closest to the middle of the frame.
The W995 also supports geo tagging feature which helps you tag pictures based on GPS locations. When you browse the geo tagged images in the phone’s photo gallery, the View on Map option shows the place where the picture was taken on the pre-installed Google map itself. The phone allows you to post photos in your blog and share them with others.
The W995 phone has a blazing fast picture snapping Best Pic mode. This mode has two versions- The slow version takes 7 images at an interval of 1.7 seconds whereas in the fast mode 7 images are taken at a smaller interval of 0.8 seconds. However there is a minor blip that the flash cannot be used in either mode. The macro mode allows taking snaps from as near as 10cm. The camera has an optional silent shutter.
