Mrsa Infection – Ha-Mrsa
Health care acquired MRSA or HA-MRSA is a common type of mrsa infection that is known for a long time and is generally acquired by persons who are constantly exposed to health care facilities either to get some treatment or by working in a health care office. In a hospital there could be many patients who are affected with MRSA and while others come in contact with these carriers, they are easily affected with the mrsa infection. In case the workers in any health care centre comes in contact using their hand with a patient who is a MRSA carrier and if the worker doesn’t wash their contaminated hands then they can spread the MRSA bacteria when they come in contact with others. In case the worker touches catheters or breathing tubes or open wounds of other patients with the contaminated hand, then they are also affected with MRSA germs. Generally patients in most of the hospitals who are admitted for some treatment purposes have weak immune system and so they can easily acquire the mrsa infection when they come in contact with it. Some of the symptoms that are specific to HA-MRSA type of infection are pneumonia, bloodstream infections, surgical wound infections and urinary tract infections. The area that is affected with MRSA germ will appear as swollen and it will be painful and reddish in color.
